Whittier Spooktacular 5K
The Whittier Spooktacular 5K is an annual community run and walk held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Whittier Community Center, 7630 Washington Ave, Whittier, CA 90602. The event features a main 5K Run/Walk and a Creepy Crawly half mile dash for children 12 and under.
Event amenities include a custom finisher medal for all participants, chip timing, a USATF certified course, and computerized finish line results provided by Alliance Race Timing. The race offers a cash prize to the overall male and female winners of the 5K. DJs are placed along the course and refreshments and goodie bags are provided to participants. A pancake breakfast follows the race; it is free for registered runners and available for a fee to others. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
The event also holds a costume contest; costumes must be family appropriate and contestants must be registered and participate in the race. Early packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, 1pm - 6pm at the Whittier Community Center. Course and road closure maps are available for participants.
