Whittier Spooktacular 5K
The Whittier Spooktacular 5k Run/Walk is the 17th annual community race held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at the Whittier Community Center, 7630 Washington Ave, Whittier, CA 90602. The event includes a short youth dash and a 5K run/walk on a USATF certified course with chip timing.

Registration for 2026 is offered in three windows: Early Bird July 2 to August 31, Regular September 1 to October 11, and Late October 12 to race day. Individual registration fees are $40 early, $50 regular, $55 late. Group registration fees are $35 early, $45 regular, $50 late.
Event services and features include a custom finisher medal for all runners, a cash prize for the overall male and female 5K winners, computerized finish line results provided by Alliance Race Timing, DJs along the course, refreshments and goodie bags, and T shirts with sizes not guaranteed. There is a costume contest; costumes must be family appropriate and contestants must be registered and participate in the race. A pancake breakfast is provided after the race free for registered runners and for $5 for non registered attendees.
Early packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Whittier Community Center. One hundred percent of Whittier Community Foundation proceeds will go toward the community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
