Event Overview
The Anaheim Turkey Trot takes place on the Santa Ana River Trail, situated between Angel Stadium and the Honda Center. The course utilizes a paved, multi-use path that remains open to the public, including cyclists and pedestrians. Participants travel through the area located just south of the Honda Center and east of the new downtown construction.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Participant Experience
Each registered runner receives a themed event shirt, a beanie, or a stuffed turkey. All finishers are presented with a custom cast medal or a race beanie upon crossing the finish line. The post-race environment features music, a festive expo along the fence line, and various photo opportunities. Attendees are provided with a slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream at the finish. Additionally, street tacos and tamales are available for those who pre-purchase vouchers.
Course and Logistics
The race is held on a flat, paved surface with views of the Angel Stadium "Big A." Because the trail is a shared public space, runners are required to stay to the right. The event uses chip timing for all distances. Awards are issued to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in age divisions ranging from under 7 to over 85.
Parking is available at the Angel Stadium back lot for a fee. Public restrooms are located at the nearby Transit Center, with additional portable units placed near the start and the one-mile mark. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
