LA Classic Turkey Trot
The LA Classic Turkey Trot is an annual running event held within Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Now in its third year, the event utilizes the scenic trails and roads of the park, with the start and finish lines situated at the Shane's Inspiration area. Participants have the opportunity to engage in several different race distances on a course that winds through the park grounds.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 5K run or walk
- 5 Miles
- 15K
The 5K option is open to both runners and walkers. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes during the races. The event serves as a holiday activity to mark the start of the Thanksgiving season in the 4800 Griffith Park Drive area. Each distance requires a registration fee, and the event features a standardized start and finish location for all participants within the park infrastructure.
