White Elephant 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Canton
This event takes place on December 24 at Etowah River Park and offers in-person and virtual participation options. Distances available include:

Participants choose a preferred shirt size at registration, but the actual shirt and finisher medal are distributed after the event in a surprise bundle packaged White Elephant style. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups beginning with 10 and under and continuing through older age categories.
The course maps are provided for each distance and the event uses Etowah River Park as the venue. Self-serve water stations are placed approximately every 1.5 miles; participants who prefer not to stop are advised to use personal hydration.
The virtual option allows participants to run or walk from any location, submit their results online, and remain eligible for awards; virtual results are viewable after the event. Registration follows tiered pricing categories labeled Early Bird, Regular, Late, and Race Day with different fees for each distance and for virtual entries.
