About the race
White Elephant 5K/10K in Clearwater on December 5, 2026 presents timed race options and a virtual participation option. Distances listed by the organizer include:

Participants select a shirt size at registration, but the actual shirt and finisher medal arrive as a surprise after the event. Finishers receive a wrapped bundle containing a race shirt and a finisher medal from a previous event, presented in a White Elephant style.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups, beginning with 10 and under and continuing through the oldest age groups. Water stations are self-serve and placed at approximately every 1.5 miles; personal hydration is suggested for those who prefer not to stop.
The course is described by the organizer as flat and fast. A virtual option allows participants to run or walk at a location of their choice, submit results online, and view results after the event date.
Florida Giant Dog Rescue is the 2026 charity partner; its mission includes rescuing and re-homing large dogs, working with community shelters and other rescues, and supporting spay and neuter programs to reduce overpopulation.
