Event overview

The Gobbler 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026. First Christian Academy is hosting the 14th annual event, with net proceeds supporting the school. The event includes an in-person 5K, a 1 Mile Fun Run, and a Virtual 5K Race. The Gobbler 5K is chip-timed; participants receive a finisher medal, a poly dry-fit race t-shirt, and a backpack. The 1 Mile Fun Run also includes a finisher medal, a poly dry-fit race t-shirt, and a backpack. Placement trophies are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group. The event is family and pet friendly; well behaved, leashed pets and jogging strollers are allowed.

Logistics and entry

Place: Jay B. Starkey Park, 10500 Wilderness Park Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34655. Parking is in the fields at the park entrance and the race course is in the center of the park with start and finish at the Educational Center / Information Kiosk. Packet pick up is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at the Starkey Park Educational Center. Online registration opens January 22, 2026, and online registration closes November 23, 2026; guaranteed shirt sizes require registration by November 1, 2026.
