There are two separate 5K waves: a Competitive wave and a Fun Run wave. The Competitive 5K is chip-timed, intended for participants at or faster than a 12:00 minute per mile pace, and is eligible for awards including overall, age group, and commemorative mugs for the top 100 male and female finishers. Strollers and dogs are not allowed in the Competitive wave. The Fun Run 5K is chip-timed but not eligible for awards; it is intended for families, walkers and social participants, and allows strollers and well-behaved dogs to start in the back of the corral. Both 5K waves include a finisher medal, participant T-shirt, and a digital finisher certificate.
Abe's Place 1 Mile Drum Run is not chip-timed. It allows strollers and well-behaved dogs to start in the back of the corral and includes a participant T-shirt and finisher medal.
