Whistling Death 5K and 10K
The Whistling Death race is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Military Museum of North Florida in Green Cove Springs. The event commemorates the F4U Corsair of World War II, a plane nicknamed "Whistling Death" by the Japanese. The Corsair was the Marine Corps main fighter in the Pacific, and many of its pilots were trained in Green Cove Springs.

Entry fees vary by registration period: through June 30th $30; August 1st through August 31st $35; starting September 1st $40. Entry fees shown on the registration site include server fees. There are no refunds or transfers.
Packet pickup will be available at the 1st Place Sports Baymeadows store. Unclaimed packets will be moved to the race site for race day pick up beginning an hour before the race.
All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal. The course traverses the various roads and runways of the old airbase, using existing pavement and former aviation areas associated with the site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
