Whistler X Tri 2026
Whistler X Tri is an off-road triathlon held at Lost Lake Park in Whistler, BC. The event takes place over two days and features swimming in Lost Lake, mountain biking on the Zappa trail network, and trail running through old-growth forests. The cycling portion utilizes green and blue rated singletrack trails, while the run course follows the Lost Lake trails.
Participants can choose from four different race formats:
- Championship: Features a 1500 m swim, 25.2 km mountain bike, and 10 km trail run. This race is an official qualifier for the 2027 Multi Sports World Championship in Edmonton.
- Sprint: Designed for athletes aged 16 and up, consisting of a 750 m swim, 12.6 km mountain bike, and 5 km trail run.
- Team Challenge: A relay format for teams of 2 or 3 people competing on the Championship course distances.
- Kids & Youth: Age-appropriate distances for participants aged 5 to 15, featuring swim, bike, and run segments.
The event is scheduled with youth races occurring on the first day, followed by the adult and team categories on the second day. The mountain bike course is technical enough to provide a challenge while remaining manageable on Whistler's established trail infrastructure.
