The Pemby Pounder Trail Run
The Pemby Pounder is a trail running race located in Pemberton, British Columbia, taking place within the Mackenzie trail network at the base of Mount Currie. The course features varied terrain and landscapes, ranging from old-growth forests to rugged alpine vistas with views of the valley floor.
The race offers three distinct distance options:
- 9 km ("The Quarter Pounder"): features a switchback climb with 261 m of ascent and descent.
- 22 km ("The Half Pounder"): a challenging route with 963 m of ascent and descent.
- 42 km ("The Full Pounder"): a trail marathon with 1,861 m of total elevation gain and loss.
Registration includes custom run socks, a finishers medal, and access to post-race food and drinks with dietary options such as gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan. Trail marathon participants also receive a custom beer glass. On-site services include a professional first aid support team and post-race ice baths. Automated youth pricing is available for participants under the age of 19. A portion of every entry fee is donated to the Pemberton Valley Trails Association to support the maintenance of the local trail network.
