Event overview
The Pemby Pounder is a trail running event in Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada, held on June 20, 2026. Courses start and finish at Den Duyf Park in the valley and use the McKenzie trail network. Routes pass through old growth forest, alpine terrain, and offer views to the valley floor. The event raises funds for local groups, including the Lil’wat Nation Recreation Department and the Pemberton Valley Trails Association. The organizer may cancel or change the route for safety reasons such as fire bans, air quality, weather, wildlife, or other hazards.
Courses, entries and services
- 9 km - 261 m ascent and descent.
- 22 km - 963 m ascent and descent.
- 42 km - 1861 m ascent and descent.
Entry includes custom run socks, a finishers medal, and post-race food and drinks with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Trail marathon finishers also receive a custom beer glass. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall and 1st Masters (50+) for male and female. A $100 course record bonus is offered. Five dollars from every entry is directed to the Pemberton Valley Trails Association. The event provides professional first aid support and post-race ice baths.
