Whistler Half Marathon
The Whistler Half Marathon takes place in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, situated on the unceded territory of the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation. The event features trail-based courses that navigate through forest settings and mountain landscapes. The main venue for the event is located at the Whistler Olympic Plaza.
Participants can choose from several different distances:
- 32 km (20 miles)
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- WHM Kids Run
The event schedule includes a welcome ceremony hosted by the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations prior to the race starts. After finishing, participants have access to a post-race athlete area featuring a dedicated stretching zone. Awards ceremonies are held for each distance throughout the morning.
For safety and accurate record-keeping, bib transfers are only permitted through the official Race Roster platform. The event maintains a strict code of ethics; athletes who have served a ban for doping or cheating in any sport are not eligible to participate. The marathon also supports charitable fundraising for Crohn's and Colitis Canada and the Trail Mix Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
