Western Invasion - Denton
The Western Invasion running event takes place on March 22, 2026, at Sam Houston Trail Park in Irving, Texas.
Participants can choose from several race distances:
- Half-Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10K (10 km)
- 5K (5 km)
- 1 Mile (1.6 km)
- Kid's Dash (100-200 meters)
Registration for the timed 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon includes an event-themed t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. The t-shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by March 1. These three distances are also eligible for age group awards. Age groups are divided by gender and five-year increments, from 0-4 up to 80+, with awards given to the top four finishers in each group. There are also overall awards for top male, female, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+) runners.
The event is gun-timed. All awards are distributed on-site at the event and will not be shipped.
The Kid's Dash is a free, short sprint for children. The 1 Mile event is new for 2026; it is untimed, includes a shirt and medal, but offers no age group awards. A virtual race option is also available for 2026, where the shirt and medal are shipped directly to the participant.
Race-day check-in is from 6:30 AM. The awards ceremony starts at 9:00 AM. The course closes at 12:15 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
