Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K : Frisco, Texas
The Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K is a community running event held in Frisco that benefits the Frisco Chamber Foundation and the Collin College Foundation. The event has raised nearly $400,000 for these causes.

Event features include a warmup, opening ceremonies, designated wheelchair, hand cycle and adaptive starts, awards ceremonies, and a Finishers Fest with live music. Race results are made available on tablets in the Finishers Fest area shortly after participants cross the finish line.
All finishers of the half marathon and the 5K receive finisher medals; 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk participants under age 12 receive a finisher ribbon but no medal. All participants receive a technical t-shirt with a throwback vintage design for the 10 year anniversary.
The half marathon awards cash prizes to the overall top five men and women (1st: $400; 2nd: $250; 3rd: $150; 4th: $100; 5th: $75) and age-group awards for the top three men and women in standard age categories from 14 and under through 70+. Packet pickup is offered at Fleet Feet - Frisco (8300 Gaylord Pkwy #21) and at the race site (9700 Wade Blvd).
