West Yorkshire Winter League (WYWL) 2026-27
The West Yorkshire Winter League is a team and individual trail running series held across six races between November and January. A season pass priced at £20 grants entry to all six races; entries close on 25/10/2026. Entry is limited to fully paid-up members of the league's clubs who are aged 17 and over and affiliated to England Athletics or British Triathlon.
Courses are trail terrain with a hilly profile and single lap formats, with typical distances around 5 - 6 Miles. The series is licensed by the Trail Running Association and has an overall entry limit of 1000 competitors. Chip timing was introduced in the 2024/25 season. The league includes team awards (Male, Female, Vets 35+, Super Vets 50+ and Overall) and individual awards across male and female categories and age groups; winners cannot claim two awards and male/female top-three takes priority.
Practical notes: the courses are not suitable for blind runners and are unsuitable for wheelchairs. Headphones must follow England Athletics guidelines. Dogs are not allowed. Facilities at venues vary; listed provisions include toilets but no water, showers, changing rooms or baggage storage. Competitors participate at their own risk. There are no refunds, deferrals or transfers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
