EvenSplits Leeds 5k
The Leeds 5K is a monthly road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The event takes place on a flat, traffic-free course consisting of 3 laps. The competition is limited to 200 entrants and is suitable for wheelchairs.
Events are EA licensed and participants receive chip-timed results. Results are sent via text message immediately after the finish, with Mile splits published the following day. For identification and timing, runners use a specific red race number with an embedded chip. Individuals who have previously participated in the series may use their existing red numbers from previous years, while new participants collect their number from the registration area at their first event.
The venue facilities at the Brownlee Centre include toilets, water, and distance markers. There are no changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage areas available on site. All finishers receive a chocolate bar upon completion of the course. Registration is available as a single race entry or through a multi-race pass, though there is no option to enter on the day of the event.
The race follows a strict policy regarding entries. Refunds and transfers to other runners are not permitted. Participants may defer their place once to the next available race in the calendar year, provided the request is made at least three days before the event date.
