Even Splits Leeds 5K
The Even Splits Leeds 5K is a monthly chip-timed 5 kilometre road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre, running from February to November. The course is flat, consists of three laps, and has an entry limit of 200 places. The race headquarters is at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA.
Results are sent by text as runners cross the finish line and mile splits are published the next day. Race results appear on Power of 10. A race licence is shown as applied for. Entrants receive a chocolate bar at the finish. The event notes that it is suitable for wheelchairs.
Facilities at the venue include water, distance markers, and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers, and no baggage storage. When a runner enters for the first time they are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be used at both Leeds and York 5K events; this number is collected from registration on the first visit. A previously issued red 5K race number from 2020–25 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements incur a £4 charge.
Entry fees listed for this event are £10 affiliated and £12 unaffiliated for a single race, with race pass options for October to November priced at £18 affiliated and £22 unaffiliated. Entry on the day is not available. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
