Event
The Leeds 5K takes place on 28 October 2026 at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Leeds LS16 8NA. It is part of a monthly series held from February to November at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The event is chip-timed and EA licensed, with finish-line text results and mile splits published the next day. A chocolate bar is handed out at the finish. Online entry closes on race day at 10:00.
Entry, course and facilities
The race distance is 5 kilometres on a flat, road course run over 3 laps. The event has an entry limit of 200 and listed remaining places are 191. The race licence is applied for. The course is noted as suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry prices include fees and admin: single race entry affiliated £10.00, single race entry unaffiliated £12.00. A race pass for the final two months is priced at affiliated £18.00 and unaffiliated £22.00. Entry on the day is not available. First-time entrants receive a race number with an embedded timing chip to collect at registration; previously issued RED 5K numbers from 2020-25 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements are charged at £4.
On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred to another runner.
