About the race
Piglove By The River hosts an evening running event from a beer garden in Citu’s Climate Innovation District in Leeds. The event base is at Piglove By The River, Clarence Rd, Leeds LS10 1EE. The organiser is Great Owl Running and the next scheduled race date is 28/10/2026.

The 5 km course starts at Piglove and follows the Trans Pennine Trail for 2.5 km, turning around just before Thwaite Mills; the path is flat with good quality footpath surfaces. The 10 km follows the same route before continuing past Thwaite Mills onto a slightly more rugged section; the route largely follows the river and includes one small bridge with steps that must be crossed. The 10 km night event will be lit with glowsticks and headtorches are required for the autumn "By Night" race. Both turnaround points are marked and marshalled.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and bag storage. All finishers receive a drink provided by Piglove Brewery. Medals and t-shirts are available as optional extras at entry. Entry is limited to 150 participants and the minimum age is 18. Parking is available at CitiPark Leeds Dock, Armouries Drive LS10 1LE; the venue is close to Granary Wharf, the Royal Armouries and Leeds Station.
