West Yorkshire Winter League
The West Yorkshire Winter League (WYWL) is a competitive cross-country running event held annually from November to February, featuring seven races. Exclusively for fully paid-up members of 16 affiliated clubs, participants compete for individual and team awards across various age categories. Each race covers a challenging 5 to 6-mile course, with chip timing introduced for the 2024-25 season.
The league emphasizes a strong community spirit among runners, with no guest entries allowed. Competitors must be fit and healthy, as the races take place in tough terrain, and safety regulations prohibit headphones and dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
