Punk Panther Christmas Cracker is a trail running event on 12 December 2026 in Otley, West Yorkshire. Distances offered are:
- 12 miles
- 19 miles
- 32 miles
Minimum age is 18. The event has a maximum of 100 entrants. Climbs for the distances are 1700 ft, 2200 ft, and 3400 ft respectively. ITRA points are listed as 0, 1 and 2 for the three distances. UTMB qualification status is given as none, Q20K and Q50K respectively. Finishers receive a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out. Hot food, hot drinks, snacks and mince pies are available at the finish, with vegan and gluten free options.
Route, checkpoints and logistics
The route is set on a mystery course that can change each year. Provisional GPX files and route descriptions are available; the final route will be emailed with the final competitor instructions. The event will not be taped. There are three checkpoints: Timble, Langbar and Stainburn Forest. The 32 mile route visits CP1, CP2, CP1 again and CP3; the 19 mile route visits CP1 and CP3; the 12 mile route visits CP3 only. Checkpoints provide drinks, energy bars and snacks, with vegan and gluten free options. Checkpoints have opening and cut-off times; arriving after a cut-off results in retirement. Support crews must avoid official checkpoints or the runner may be disqualified.
All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; 12 and 19 mile runners may hire a tracker. Trackers display live positions and include an emergency button that, if used, ends the runner's race. A kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks will be carried out on course. Registration and finish are at Otley Cricket Club.
