Punk Panther Christmas Cracker : 12 December 2026

The Punk Panther Christmas Cracker is a trail running event based at Otley Cricket Club, Cross Green, Otley, West Yorkshire LS21 1RB (what3words: calibrate.kitchens.retaliate). Entries open 14 December 2025 and close 29 November 2026. Minimum age is 18 and the event has a maximum of 100 entrants.

Climb for the distances is listed as 1700, 2200 and 3400 feet respectively. ITRA points are given as 0, 1 and 2 for the three distances in that order. UTMB eligibility is listed as none for the shortest distance, Q20K for the middle distance and Q50K for the longest. The route is described as a mystery route that can change year to year. Provisional GPX files and route descriptions are available online and the final GPX and Final Race Instructions will be emailed to competitors; the emailed version must be used for any last-minute diversions. The event will not be taped.

Logistics and rules

There are three checkpoints on the course; CP provision includes water, soft drinks, energy bars and snacks, with vegan and gluten-free options. The 32 mile route visits CP1, CP2, CP1 again and CP3; the 19 mile route visits CP1 and CP3; the 12 mile route visits CP3 only. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; 12 and 19 mile runners may hire a tracker for £15. The tracker includes an emergency button that, if pressed in range, ends the runner’s race. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out; failure to carry required kit will result in disqualification. Finishers receive a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out; hot food and drinks with dietary options are provided at the finish. Dogs are not permitted at the finish in the church.
