Event overview
The Punk Panther Christmas Cracker is scheduled for Saturday 12 December 2026 near Otley, West Yorkshire. The event is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons and has a minimum age of 18. Entry opens on 14 December 2025 and closes on 29 November 2026. Maximum entrants are limited to 100. Entries recorded so far are listed on the event entry list.
Distances and course
- 12 miles - 1700 ft climb; ITRA points: 0; UTMB: none.
- 19 miles - 2200 ft climb; ITRA points: 1; UTMB: Q20K.
- 32 miles - 3400 ft climb; ITRA points: 2; UTMB: Q50K.
The route is a mystery route that can change each year. Provisional GPX files and a route description are available from the event GPX tab; the final GPX and final competitor instructions will be emailed to competitors. The event will not be taped or marked on the ground.
Logistics, checkpoints and kit
Registration and the finish are at Otley Cricket Club, Cross Green, Otley, LS21 1RB. Toilets are available at registration. A nearby car park is provided at the end of Bremner Street, Otley. There are three checkpoints: Timble, Langbar and Stainburn Forest. The 32 mile route visits CP1, CP2, CP1 again and CP3; the 19 mile route visits CP1 and CP3; the 12 mile route visits CP3 only. Checkpoints provide drinks and food including vegan and gluten free options. Competitors must carry mandatory kit listed by the organisers; ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker and trail entrants may hire a tracker for a fee.
