West Rouge Sports & Recreation Association Fun Run - 2026
The event takes place on October 3, 2026 at Port Union Waterfront Park, Chesterton Shores, Scarborough, ON. The run starts at the park, heads west along the Waterfront Trail, crosses the Waterfront Trail Bridge, then turns north onto the Highland Creek trail. Due to construction on the trail, the race will not run east toward Rouge Beach.
At 2.5 km the course turns around and returns to the start. The 10 km run completes an additional lap, repeating the west and north sections before returning to the start area.
There are two water stations on the course: one at the start/finish and one at the 2.5 km turnaround. 10 km participants pass both stations twice. Public washrooms are available at Port Union Village Commons Park.
Free parking is available in the Rouge Hill GO station west parking lot at the foot of Port Union Road; it is a short walk to the start. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female in each age category for each event, with at least 18 prizes available and possible additional awards depending on participation.
Participants who provide an email address will receive a personalized certificate showing standing (top three) or participation, event, gender and age group. The event is rain or shine; if cancelled no refunds will be given. Registrations are non-transferrable and non-deferrable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
