West Lancs Summer Triathlon & Multisport
West Lancs Summer Triathlon & Multisport takes place at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, Lancashire and is scheduled for Sunday 23 August 2026. The event attracts a mix of participants, from first-time triathletes to regional elite competitors, and runs alongside a spring edition earlier in the year.
Racing options for 2026 include triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and a newly introduced aquabike. The pool swim uses the venue's new pool facility. The cycle course is a flat, multi-lap route around campus and surrounding roads, and the run uses trails on campus before athletes finish on the university running track.
Event distances include:
- 400 m swim
- 21.5 km cycle on a flat, three lap course
- 5 km run finishing on the running track
Entries are priced per event and include solo and relay categories; the organiser publishes entry fees and closing criteria. Participants are required to hold British Triathlon membership or a single-event race pass. Start and briefing times, plus cycle and run route information, are published for entrants. Included with entry are a finishers medal, swim cap for triathlon aquathlon and aquabike entries, and event photographs available to download from the event's photo page.
