West Highland Way Race

The West Highland Way Race is a 96 mile ultramarathon run along the West Highland Way route from Milngavie Station to the Nevis Centre in Fort William. The event has a time limit of 35 hours and includes 14,760 ft of ascent. Competitors must pass through a series of checkpoints, each with specified time limits.

Participants are required to have a motorised support team for backup during the route. Entry requires adequate relevant experience; specifically, entrants must have completed a minimum of a 65K trail race. Competitors must be aged 20 years or older on race day.

Entry arrangements for the listed edition closed on Sunday 30 November 2025. Entry fees were listed as £157 for affiliated members and £160 for unaffiliated entrants. A bonus of £1,500 is available to any male or female setting a new course record.
