West Highland Way Race
The West Highland Way Race is a long-distance ultra running event along the West Highland Way route. The course covers 96 mile and runs from Milngavie Railway Station to the Nevis Centre in Fort William. The route includes 14,760 ft of ascent and requires passage through timed checkpoints.
The event is scheduled for Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st June 2026 and has an overall time limit of 35 hours to complete the course. Participants must provide their own motorised support team for backing along the route.
Entry requires prior experience relevant to long trail events. Competitors must have completed a minimum 65K trail race and be aged 20 years or older on race day. Entry fees shown in the event information are available for affiliated and unaffiliated entrants.
