Event overview
The Wesley Woods Trail Race takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Camp Wesley Woods, 329 Wesley Woods Rd, Townsend, TN 37882. The event program includes multiple trail run distances and a hike, plus a kids gravel run. Distances offered:
- Kids 1 mile gravel run
- 3 mile trail hike
- 3 mile trail run
- 6 mile trail run
- 9 mile trail run
- 12 mile trail run
The 3-mile loop is used as the base course and is run one to four times to create the 3, 6, 9 and 12 mile race distances. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each event. No age-group awards are listed. All registration and shirt proceeds benefit Camp Wesley Woods ministries.
Course and logistics
The course begins in front of the Nickel Lodge on a gravel service road, then follows a narrower service road before bearing left onto Bob Hayes Trail and running the property perimeter (about 1.7 miles) before returning to the main gravel road to finish the 3-mile loop. The trail system includes double-track and some single-track sections and hilly terrain. One 3-mile loop has approximately 500 ft of elevation gain. A water/aid station is located at the gravel road/trail intersection near mile 2. Registered runners receive a camp shirt; shirt orders cutoff is January 31. The 3-mile hike is a single lap and hiking guides will be announced closer to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
