Wanderers' Trail Race
Wanderers' Trail Race is held at McArthur Pavilion on the edge of the Maryville College Woods in Maryville, Tennessee. The event program lists a chip-timed 5k, a student 5k category for youths, and a Kids Trail Mile that precedes the main race.
The 5k course runs through woodland terrain and crosses hills, dales, rocks, roots, streams, and grassy knolls. The Kids Trail Mile follows a similar course through the woods. Aid will be available on course; runners are encouraged to carry their own water and any personal medication for insect sensitivity. Results will be posted on the Knoxville Track Club website and on Runsignup.
Post-race activity is based at the Pavilion, followed by an informal gathering in Downtown Maryville where a local brewery will host live music and offer a bib discount on purchases. Limited-edition season T-shirts are produced for the series, with one shirt issued per runner per season. Registration notes indicate no refunds and no bib transfers, and a Knoxville Track Club member discount is accepted.
Safety and etiquette policies are enforced. Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to enter adult races, unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification, and an 18:00 per mile minimum pace with a sweeper will be enforced.
