City of Pigeon Forge Winterfest 5K
The City of Pigeon Forge Winterfest 5K is a new community running event organized by the City’s Special Events Department on December 5, 2026. The course begins at Patriot Park and follows the Winterfest Wonders of Lights Riverwalk along the Little Pigeon River. The route is fully paved and mostly level, laid out as an out-and-back along the riverwalk.
Distances offered:
- 5K - paved, mostly level out-and-back on the Winterfest Riverwalk
- 1K - Kids Fun Run, two laps of the Little Pigeon Riverwalk, ages 12 and under
Race services include professional timing, finisher t-shirts, and finisher medals. Race packet pick-up is scheduled for December 3 and 4 at the Pigeon Forge Community Center from 3 to 7 PM. Registration opens July 29, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026; listed registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the Kids Fun Run. The Kids Fun Run is presented as a short, family-oriented course on the same morning as the 5K. The event also supports the Pigeon Forge High School Foundation.
