Reindeer Run - Maryville
The Reindeer Run is a 5K (3.1-mile) road race and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. It is the final event of the Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running series. Participants can register for the entire Triple Crown series in advance for a discount.
The event includes costume prizes, with awards given for the best male and female Christmas costume. Overall, Masters, and age division winners in the 5K receive awards. All Fun Run/Walk participants receive a keepsake.
Registration is available online, by mail, or in person at the Parks & Rec office. Fees vary for adults and students (18 & under). The registration fee includes a T-shirt, with an extra charge for XXL sizes. A discount is available for participants who choose not to receive a T-shirt.
Packet pick-up is available before the race at a designated sporting goods store or on the day of the event. The Triple Crown of Running awards ceremony is held at this event. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Empty Pantry Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
