Event overview
The Welsh 3000's Ultra Run is a guided mountain running event on Saturday 2 May 2026 in Snowdonia, North Wales. The route covers the 15 Welsh 3,000 ft peaks across the Snowdon, Carneddau and Glyderau ranges, including the traverse of Crib Goch. The 3,000s comprise 15 mountains over 3,000 ft.
Bookings open 4 July 2025 and close 24 April 2026. The minimum age to enter is 18. The booking fee is £170. The event is organized by Adventure Awaits and is offered as a non-competitive guided run rather than a race.
Route, support and logistics
The route distance is approximately 30 miles (50 km) with about 4,000 m of total ascent. The event is led by experienced trail runners with British Mountain Leader and British Athletics qualifications. Transport to the start, a mountain guide and a support vehicle are included in the price.
On-course provisions include premium food stations with hot and cold options. The event offers an option to purchase event insurance (XCover) for possible refunds if a participant cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
