Snowdonia Half Marathon, Llanrwst (10 May 2026)
The Snowdonia Half Marathon is a half marathon set in Snowdonia National Park with the start and finish in the town of Llanrwst. The 2026 event is the 14th running and is marked as sold out.
The course runs through upland terrain and includes sustained climbs and steep sections. The route was revised to go up to Llyn Geirionydd then over to Llyn Crafnant, return toward Trefriw, ascend the 1:7 Forest Hill around mile 11, and descend to the finish via Gwydyr Castle.
On-course services include drink stations roughly every 3 miles and an additional station at the finish. Toilets are provided near the start/finish and at the Cricket Club. A professional medical team will be on site. Small bag baggage drop is available but valuables are stored at the owner’s risk.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a technical T-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers and age-category winners. Standard headphones are not permitted under UK Athletics rules; bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Some roads are closed while others remain open, so runners must follow marshal instructions and local road rules.
