About the race
Snowdonia Half Marathon (Hanner Marathon Eryri) is a scenic yet demanding half marathon in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. The course starts and finishes in Llanrwst and traverses wild mountains, valleys, rivers and glacial lakes, earning a reputation as one of the UK’s toughest halves. In 2016 it was redesigned to climb from Trefriw to Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant, then over Forest Hill (1:7) at mile 11, finishing via Gwydyr Castle.
The event offers a bespoke medal and technical T-shirt for all finishers, plus marshals, water stations, and on-course first aid, with a strong community-focused Run Wales weekend. There is no fun run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
