Caernarfon 5k
The event is a Race for Life 5k held at Parc Coed Helen in Caernarfon on Sunday 02 May 2027 and organised by Cancer Research UK. The entry fees listed are £7.99 for adults and £5.50 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and a Race for Life medal.
The course is a flat 5k using a 2.5 km out and back route along the Menai Strait with views of Ynys Môn and the mountains of Eryri. The first and last 150 m are on grass; the remainder is almost entirely on tarmac and the ground is described as generally firm all year round. The start and finish area is on grass and is flat. Facilities on site include toilets and refreshments. The event is wheelchair accessible, allows dogs, and is suitable for pushchairs. There is no general vehicle access to the event site; blue badge holders and event volunteers can park on site, and a nearby drop off point is Slate Quay car park, about a 300 m walk from the start.
