Welland Run 10K
The 2nd Annual Welland Run 10K, named "Run for Canada", takes place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Merritt Island Park on the Welland Canal Trail in Welland, Ontario. The event is organized in a park setting along the canal.
Distances offered:
- 10K - longer route through Merritt Island Park.
- 5K - shorter distance for a faster effort or group participation.
- 2.5K - short route suitable for families and first time runners.
Every participant receives an official event T-shirt, a bib number, and a finisher medal. An electronic timing chip is used for accurate race results.
The event features a live DJ and music, food vendors, a kids' zone, and a photo booth. Free wellness classes are available to participants, including yoga, Pilates and Zumba. The event is presented as a Canada Day celebration that highlights the local multicultural community.
