Welland Run 10K
The Welland Run 10K is a community running event on Sunday, July 4, 2027, at Merritt Island Park and the Welland Canal Trail in Welland, Ontario. It is the second annual edition and is presented as a Canada Day themed celebration that honors the area's multicultural community. The course follows park and canal trails and is described as scenic within the Niagara Region.
Distances offered:
- 10K - longer course through Merritt Island Park.
- 5K - shorter community route suitable for many participants.
- 2.5K - family friendly and suitable for first-time runners.
Every registered participant receives an official event T-shirt, a bib number, and a finisher medal. Electronic timing chips will be used for race results. Event amenities include a live DJ and music, food vendors, a kids' zone, a photo booth, and free wellness classes such as Yoga, Pilates and Zumba.
