Welland Run 10K
The 2nd Annual Welland Run 10K, themed "Run for Canada," takes place on Sunday, July 4, 2027, in Welland, Ontario. This community event is hosted at Merritt Island Park and utilizes the Welland Canal Trail, offering a scenic route through the Niagara Region's nature. The event serves as a celebration of fitness and national pride, featuring a Canada Day theme that honors the multicultural community.
Participants can select from three different distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2.5 km
Registered participants receive an official event t-shirt, a bib number, and a finisher medal. To ensure accurate race results, the event utilizes an electronic timing chip for all runners. The course for the 2.5 km option is designed to accommodate walking, jogging, or running.
The event site features various amenities and activities, including a live DJ, music, food vendors, and a dedicated kids' zone. A photo booth is available for participants to capture moments from the day.
