Santa Dash 5k
The Santa Dash 5k is a holiday-themed community running event organized by Niagara PAL. The event features a 5 km run where participants are encouraged to wear festive costumes. Cash prizes are awarded for the most creative holiday-themed outfits. The race uses electronic timing and scoring for all participants.
The event includes several specialized categories and challenges:
- Law Enforcement Doughnut Cup Challenge
- First Responder Challenge
- Educators Division
- High School Division
The competition recognizes top performers with awards for the overall male and female winners. Additionally, awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age groups, ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. Pre-registration is available online, and the first 150 registered runners are guaranteed an event t-shirt.
Beyond the race, the day includes several holiday activities held at the Sheraton on Third Street in Niagara Falls. These activities consist of an after-race party with live entertainment, a Breakfast with Santa, and a gift card auction.
