Event Overview
The Weimar Rotary Club Gedenke 5K takes place in Weimar, Texas. The event starts and finishes at the Weimar Soccer Fields on E. Converse St. The course runs through the Hill Memorial Golf Course and the Weimar Soccer Fields.
Race Details
The event features a single 5K run. The organizers describe it as a family-friendly event and encourage families to participate together. Strollers are permitted but should start at the back of the pack. Pets are not allowed on the course, with exceptions considered for certified service animals.
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners. The top three finishers in each age group also receive awards. Age groups range from 14 and under to 70 plus.
Chip timing for the 5K is provided by Run Texas Timing Services. Live results are posted online and displayed on-site, and finisher certificates are emailed to participants.
Registration and Fees
Registration fees are $35.00 for runners aged 15 and above, and $25.00 for those 14 and below. Late registration adds an additional $5.00 fee. On-site registration is available on race day.
Participants who register by the specified date are guaranteed an event T-shirt. On race day, all adult participants with proper ID receive a beer in a commemorative cup, and all participants receive a swag bag.
