Weimar Rotary Club Gedenke 5K : Weimar, TX
The event is a 5K run hosted at Weimar Soccer Fields, 601 E. Converse St, Weimar, TX 78962. The course begins and ends at the soccer fields and runs through Hill Memorial Golf Course. The event is described as family friendly and encourages families to participate together.
Strollers are allowed but should seed themselves at the back of the starting pack. Pets are not allowed on the course; exceptions for certified service animals are considered on a case-by-case basis and require contacting the Race Director.
Awards include overall male and female winners plus top three in each age group: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
Fees are specified as $35.00 for runners 15 years and above and $25.00 for runners 14 years and below. Late registration begins April 28 with an additional $5.00 fee. To be guaranteed an event shirt, registration must be completed by April 28.
Timing for the 5K is provided by Run Texas Timing Services using a Jaguar RFID timing system. Finisher certificates will be emailed to participants and finisher photos will be available for purchase on itsyourrace.com. Adult participants with proper ID will receive a Hound Song cup of beer.
