Weekend 5K and Kids 1K Series
The Weekend 5K and Kids 1K Series takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Dominion Arboretum. The event includes short-distance runs for children and adults held on the Arboretum site.

- 5K, youth and adult

- Kids 1K (ages 0-12): Free
- 5K Youth (ages 24 and under): Free
- 5K: $10 plus applicable fees and HST in advance; $15 plus applicable fees and HST on race day
- 2026 Run Ottawa members register for free
The event's charity partner is OCISO (Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization). OCISO provides culturally and linguistically appropriate programs to support immigrants building new lives in Canada and works through partnerships to foster inclusive community spaces for dialogue and healing.
Venue logistics include free parking near the Tropical Greenhouse off Maple Drive, about a 10-minute walk from the start area, and paid parking at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum lot (901 Prince of Wales Dr).
