Weekend 5K and Kids 1K Series
The Weekend 5K and Kids 1K Series takes place on Saturday August 8, 2026 at the Dominion Arboretum. The event includes separate distances for children, youth, and adults and lists OCISO as the charity partner. OCISO provides culturally and linguistically appropriate programs to support immigrants as they settle, and works through partnerships to build community and create inclusive spaces for dialogue and healing.
A first aid partner is noted as St John Ambulance and volunteer roles are part of the event structure. Parking information for the event includes free parking near the Tropical Greenhouse off Maple Drive, about a ten minute walk from the start area. Paid parking is available at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum lot at 901 Prince of Wales Drive. The Dominion Arboretum is a short walk from the Carling O train station for those using public transit.

- Kids 1K ages 0 to 12
- 5K Youth ages 24 and under
- 5K adult entry
Pricing details: Kids 1K is free, 5K Youth is free, 5K advance entry is 10 dollars plus applicable fees and HST, race day entry is 15 dollars plus applicable fees and HST, and 2026 Run Ottawa members register free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
