Weehawken 5K Walk/Run for Food Justice
The second annual Weehawken 5K Walk/Run for Food Justice is held on the scenic waterfront path in Weehawken, New Jersey. The event is organized by Food Justice for All, an organization that provides education and resources to address food insecurity in local communities.
The day offers three program options and distances:
- 1 Mile (kids fun run)
- 5K (competitive run under 30 minutes)
- 5K (leisurely walk/run)
All funds raised from the event are allocated to the PERC shelter in Union City and to community education around food insecurity. The program includes an educational component focused on plant-based meals and practical approaches to feeding large groups.
Race day activities include awards, food demonstrations, prizes, music, and children’s activities such as face painting and art projects related to food justice. Registration and check-in take place at Weehawken Field, 1 Port Imperial Blvd. A rain date is scheduled for November 15, 2026. No strollers or pets are allowed.
