NYC Trail Mix
NYC Trail Mix is a trail running event on Staten Island organized by Redpoint Productions and benefiting the Greenbelt Conservancy. The event includes multiple distances run on looped courses through preserved green spaces.
Distances:
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- Half Marathon
The course uses long loops with mostly single track and minimal road crossings. Notable areas on the route include Blood Root Valley, High Rock Park, La Tourette Park, and the Field of Dreams. Course layouts are provided as looped routes and may change due to trail conditions.
Loop formats:
- 50 Mile: 3 x 16.6 mile loop
- 50K: 2 x 15.5 mile loop
- Half Marathon: 1 x 13.1 mile loop
There are three primary aid stations: High Rock, La Tourette, and the Nature Center (start/finish location). High Rock does not permit crews, spectators, or drop bags. La Tourette allows crews, spectators, and drop bags. The Half Marathon visits two aid stations; the 50K visits five; the 50 Mile visits eight. Aid stations typically offer electrolyte hydration (Skratch), standard race foods, and some vegan and gluten free options.
Crew, spectator, and pacer access is limited to specific locations. Organizers ask to be informed if runners plan to use pacers. Parking is at the Rec Center and nearby lots at 501 Brielle Ave, with the start/finish area accessible by a short gravel path or shuttle.
