Course and support
The course uses three neighboring parks: Webster Park, Whiting Road Nature Preserve (WRNP), and Gosnell Big Woods Preserve. The race starts and finishes at the Valley View shelter off Holt Road in Webster Park and generally stays on the west side of the park. A connector trail links Webster Park to WRNP, and additional connector trails lead to Pellet Road and the Gosnell Big Woods Preserve. Terrain includes open fields, wooded single track, bridges, elevation changes, old growth forest sections, the Big Field, and the Meadow Trail. The 3.5 mile route remains within Webster Park on a route similar to the park portion of the 10 Miler.
There is one aid station roughly at the halfway point in the Big Field of Gosnell Big Woods Preserve. The course was described as cup-free on course; water was noted as available at the start/finish area. Permission to use the Gosnell Big Woods Preserve was granted by the Genesee Land Trust.
