Winter Weavers' Way
Winter Weavers' Way is a trail ultramarathon along the Weavers' Way in Norfolk with two distance options. The event uses local trails and passes coastal, riverside and marsh landscapes as well as stately home grounds and villages.
The 100 km route starts at Broadland Great Yarmouth Rugby Club and follows Breydon Water before crossing Halvergate marshes to Acle. From Acle the route runs alongside the River Bure and joins the 50 km route at Stalham. The 50 km route begins in Stalham and continues via North Walsham to Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall before a long downhill approach to the finish at Cromer Pier.
Official checkpoints and waterpoints are positioned along each route. Several named control points include The Pavilion at QE II playing field in Halvergate, Acle bridge, Potter Heigham riverbank, Poppy Centre in Stalham, St Nicholas Rooms in North Walsham, Silvergate layby, Erpingham Village Hall and Hanworth Village Hall. The 100 km course covers the full length of the Weavers' Way from Great Yarmouth and the 50 km course covers a central section of the trail.
