The Waves of Hope 5K takes place on January 10, 2026, at Charnow Park in Hollywood, Florida (300 Connecticut St, Hollywood, FL 33019). This is the fourth annual Waves of Hope event presented by BRCAStrong. Participants are encouraged to wear pink or teal to show support.
Organizer and purpose
BRCAStrong is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports people affected by breast cancer and gynecological cancers. The organization provides financial assistance for monitoring and preventative surgery, education and advocacy, and free care packages such as pre-mastectomy and gynecological supplies, post-mastectomy garments, and other treatment necessities for underinsured and uninsured individuals.
Race details
The event is a chip-timed 5K run/walk. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and to age-group winners. Race timing is provided by Southern Timing, LLC. Each participant receives an individual results page with results, a pace breakdown, a finisher certificate, and a 20-second video of crossing the start/finish line.
