Event details
The Waves of Hope 5K is scheduled for January 10, 2026, in Hollywood, Florida, at Charnow Park (300 Connecticut St, Hollywood, FL 33019). It is billed as the 4th Annual Waves of Hope and is a chip-timed 5K run/walk. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and to age-group winners. The event is organized by BRCAStrong, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports people affected by breast and gynecological cancers. The organization states it provides financial assistance for routine monitoring, preventative surgery, and essential care, and distributes pre-mastectomy and gynecological care packages, post-mastectomy garments, and other treatment necessities at no cost to recipients.
Race timing will be provided by Southern Timing, LLC. Each participant receives an individual results page that includes official results, a pace breakdown, a finisher certificate, and a 20-second video of the participant crossing the start/finish line.
