Sallarulo's Race for Champions
Sallarulo's Race for Champions is an inclusive 5K run/walk held in Broward County on the campus of Nova Southeastern University. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, November 21, and also offers a virtual participation option so people can walk or run when and where it is convenient.
The event raises funds for Special Olympics Florida in Broward County and supports year‑round sports training and competition for more than 6,000 local athletes. Supported programs include training in 19 sports, health services, inclusive programming, and leadership development provided at no cost to athletes and families.
On-campus registration is located in the courtyard between the Carl DeSantis Building and the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at 3300 South University Drive, Fort Lauderdale. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot across from the Art Center; the garage entrance is on Ray Ferraro Jr. Blvd off SW 30th Street (Abe Fischler Blvd).
The race marks its 21st anniversary in 2026 and has a history of family and community involvement. An auction is planned for 2026 with details to be announced.
