Watersons HALE 10K and Ashley Hall 3K
The Watersons HALE 10K takes place on Sunday 14th February 2027 with 2,000 runners on fully closed roads through Hale, Bowdon and Ashley. The event has sold out in advance in recent years.
The certified 10 km course starts in Hale, passes through the centre of the village, continues out to Ashley along country lanes and finishes in the grounds of Ashley Hall. The Ashley Hall 3 km race is held in the Ashley Hall grounds on the same day and is offered for younger runners or those preferring a shorter distance. Both races are run on roads or areas closed to traffic for the event.
Practical information includes parking at Ashley Hall; the car park is about 1 km from the 10 km start. Parking is charged at £5 on the day or £3 in advance. Roads will be closed for the duration of the race and reopened as soon as each sector is clear after the last runner.
Proceeds from the event go to The Toy Appeal, the official charity partner. The Toy Appeal distributes sacks of toys at Christmas to children aged 0 to 17 living in poverty and has operated since 2013, supporting children across the North West of England.
