About the race
The Watersons HALE 10K and ASHLEY HALL 3K take place on Sunday 14 February 2027 as a fully closed road event with around 2,000 runners expected. The event includes a certified 10 km course and a separate 3 km race in the grounds of Ashley Hall. The certified 10 km course starts in Hale, passes through the centre of the village, continues along country lanes toward Ashley, and finishes in the grounds of Ashley Hall. The 3 km race is held within the Ashley Hall grounds for younger runners or those preferring a shorter distance and is scheduled shortly before the 10 km. Parking is available at Ashley Hall; the car park is about 1 km from the 10 km start.
A parking fee applies on the day with a lower advance purchase rate. Roads on the race route are closed for the event and will be reopened sector by sector after the last runner has passed. Access to and from Ashley Hall toward nearby areas will be limited during the event. The event supports The Toy Appeal.
Proceeds from the race go to the charity, which provides sacks of toys at Christmas to children aged 0 to 17 living in poverty and has operated since 2013. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
