About the race
The Watersons HALE 10K and the Ashley Hall 3K take place on Sunday 14 February 2027 on fully closed roads through Hale, Bowdon and Ashley. The event hosts 2,000 runners and includes a certified 10 km course.
The 10 km course starts in Hale, passes through the centre of the village, continues out to Ashley along country lanes, and finishes in the grounds of Ashley Hall. The shorter race is held within the grounds of Ashley Hall and is aimed at younger runners or those preferring a shorter distance.
Distances
- 10 km : certified course finishing in the grounds of Ashley Hall.
- 3 km : a shorter race held within Ashley Hall grounds.
Parking is available at Ashley Hall; the car park is about 1 km from the 10 km start. On-the-day and advance parking fees are listed by the organiser.
The event supports The Toy Appeal. Proceeds from the race go to this charity, which provides a sack of toys at Christmas to children aged 0–17 living in poverty. The Appeal has operated since 2013 and has supplied toys to thousands of children across the North West of England. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
