About the race
The Watersons HALE 10K and Ashley Hall 3K take place on Sunday 14 February 2027. The event is a fully closed road race for up to 2,000 runners, using streets and lanes in Hale, Bowdon and Ashley.
Distances
- 10 km certified course through Hale, Bowdon and Ashley
- 3 km held in the grounds of Ashley Hall
The certified 10 km course starts in Hale, passes through the centre of the village, then follows country lanes out to Ashley and finishes in the grounds of Ashley Hall. The Ashley Hall 3K is staged in the Ashley Hall grounds for younger runners or those preferring a shorter distance and is scheduled just over an hour before the 10 km race. Parking is available at Ashley Hall; the car park is approximately 1 km from the 10 km start and there is a fee on the day or a lower advance rate.
Roads are closed for the event and will be reopened once runners have cleared each sector. Proceeds from the race go to The Toy Appeal, which provides a sack of toys at Christmas to children aged 0 to 17 years living in poverty in the region. The Toy Appeal has been operating since 2013.
