Watersons HALE 10K & Ashley Hall 3K
The Watersons HALE 10K takes place on Sunday 15 February 2026 and will use fully closed roads through Hale, Bowdon and Ashley. The event is in its fifth year and is expected to attract around 2,000 runners.
The certified 10 km course begins in Hale, passes through the centre of the village, continues out to Ashley along country lanes and finishes in the grounds of Ashley Hall. The route uses a mix of village streets and rural lanes and finishes inside the Ashley Hall estate.
The event also includes the Ashley Hall 3 km held within the grounds of Ashley Hall. This shorter race is organised in the traffic-free estate and is intended for younger runners or those who prefer a shorter distance.
Parking is available at Ashley Hall; the car park is about 1 km from the 10K start. On-the-day parking costs £5 and advance parking is £3.
Proceeds from the race will go to the official charity partner, The Toy Appeal. The Toy Appeal provides a sack of toys at Christmas to children aged 0 to 17 who are living in poverty and has been operating since 2013. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
