Wasatch Trail Run Series – Snowbird
The Wasatch Trail Run Series holds events at Snowbird on July 15 and August 19 at the Creekside entrance. Registration opens at 5 PM in Entrance #1, the Creekside area. The event includes live bluegrass music and preferred parking for barbecue setups that use gas-only grills.
Runners must carry a full hydration pack because the event is cupless; water will be available only at the start and finish areas.
Both courses start and finish at Creekside and follow a mix of dirt roads, paved sections, and single-track trails. The course routing includes sections past the Gadzoom lift and Creekside Cafe, the Snowbird Center (Tram Deck) and Cliff Lodge, and uses single-track segments such as Dean’s Delight, Black Jack Return, Big Mountain Trail, Baby Thunder, and Midway. A small reroute near the start, added because of construction, increases each course by about 0.7 miles and adds more single track.
Distances and elevation:
- Long course: about 7.9 miles, 1800' elevation gain
- Short course: about 5.2 miles, 850' elevation gain
Snowbird is located up Little Cottonwood Canyon; continue about 7 miles up the canyon to reach Snowbird Resort and park in the Entrance #1 Creekside area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
