Warrenville Park District Firecracker 5K
The Warrenville Park District is hosting the 16th Annual Firecracker 5K on July 4, 2027 in Warrenville, Illinois. The course incorporates the Illinois Prairie Path, Warrenville Grove and streets of downtown Warrenville. Pre-registration is closed and day of registration is available.
Distances and youth events:
- 5K run/walk
- Sparkler 1 Miler following the 5K
- 50 yard dash for ages 3 to 6
- 100 yard dash for ages 7 to 10
5K participants are guaranteed a race t-shirt, goodie bag and finisher medal. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and there is a special prize for the overall top male and top female. Age groups used for awards include Ages 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69 and 70 plus.
Packet pick up is available at the Warrenville Recreation Center Upper Multipurpose Room, 3S260 Warren Avenue, and at the FitnessNOW Guest Services desk in the Recreation Center from July 3 until race day. Registration must be completed by Monday, June 29 to receive a race bib prior to race day.
Participants and guardians must sign waivers and acknowledge risk. The Warrenville Park District does not provide medical or accident insurance for program participants. Strollers, bikes and dogs are not allowed on the race course due to narrow paths. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
