Course, awards and categories
The 5K course uses the Illinois Prairie Path, Warrenville Grove and streets of downtown Warrenville. Categories listed include 5K runner/walker, the Sparkler 1-Miler and youth 50/100 yard dashes. 5K participants are guaranteed a race t-shirt, a goodie bag and a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group and a special prize is given to the top male and female overall. Age groups start at 14 and under and continue in decade bands up to 70+.
Logistics and rules
Packet pick-up is scheduled Thursday, July 2 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Recreation Center Upper Multipurpose Room, with additional packet availability at the FitnessNOW Guest Services desk from July 3 until race day. Children in the dashes must sign a waiver; each child receives a participation ribbon. The organizer does not provide medical or accident insurance for participants.
