Insane Candy Cane 5K Run/Walk
Insane Candy Cane 5K Run/Walk is a 5K event at the Peg Bond Center in Batavia, Illinois on Sunday, December 6, 2026. The event includes a separate Kids Dash and on-course seasonal characters noted as "Elves on the course."
Registration offers multiple participation options: an in-person Complete Package that includes a race shirt, finisher medal, and food tent; a Budget Package that includes a finisher medal and food tent but no race shirt; and a Virtual 5K option. Virtual participants may run or walk on a chosen route between December 6 and December 14, 2026, and race swag for virtual entries is scheduled to be shipped the week of December 6.
Packet pick up is available before race day at Dick Pond Athletics in St. Charles and on race day at the Peg Bond Center in Batavia. Age-group awards are presented for top overall male and female and for first through third place in these categories: 10 & Under; 11 - 14; 15 - 19; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 - 44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70 - 74; 75 - 79; 80 & over.
Prizes from prior years included items such as a Garmin Forerunner, wireless earbuds, a television, apparel, bags, accessories, socks, and gift cards. Electronic prizes are nonreturnable and gift cards are not exchangeable for cash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
