Event Overview
The Insane Candy Cane 5K Run/Walk is a seasonal athletic event held at the Peg Bond Center in Batavia, Illinois. Race Options

- Virtual 5K Run/Walk: An option to complete the 5 km distance at any location between December 6 and December 14.
Awards and Prizes
The event recognizes top performers in the in-person race. Age group awards are presented to the top overall male and female runners, as well as the first, second, and third place finishers in categories ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over.
A prize drawing features a variety of athletic gear and electronics, including GPS watches, wireless earbuds, smart TVs, and specialized running apparel such as pom beanies, reflective mittens, and thermal shirts.
Logistics
Pre-race packet pick-up is hosted at Dick Pond Athletics in St. Charles a few days before the event. On the morning of the race, the Peg Bond Center serves as the site for final registration and packet collection. Virtual participants receive their event materials via mail during the week of the race and may submit their results through the ASICS Runkeeper app or manual entry.
