Event details
The Lions Charities Reindeer Run is scheduled for December 5, 2026, in Downtown Wheaton. The event is the 14th annual running of the Reindeer Run and features a 5K distance. The race is presented in partnership by the Wheaton Park District and Lions Club Charities. A race route PDF is published for the event.
Race format, awards and participant items
The event is chip timed; overall and age category placements are determined by chip time. Top overall winners are announced immediately after the race. Other age category winners are contacted by email with details on when and where to pick up awards. All participants receive a long-sleeve shirt, reindeer antlers, and a finisher medal. Shirt sizes are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Media use
The Wheaton Park District and its partners, volunteers and vendors may take photographs or video of participants and may use those images for promotional purposes. Participation or attendance constitutes agreement to the use and distribution of those images without inspection or compensation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
