Annual W.A.R. (Walk and Run) Against Ovarian Cancer : 19th Edition
The event is a community 5K fund raiser held at Barbieri School, 100 Dudley Road, Framingham, MA 01702. It benefits Ovations for the Cure and directs funds to support local patients and their families, to fund research, and to provide education and awareness about ovarian cancer.
The program includes a welcome speech, a National Anthem performance, a run/walk on a USATF certified course, and activities for families. After the main activity there is a picnic on the school grounds with a grassy area to sit and a playground for children. Face painting and other family-oriented activities are available during the event. Prizing is offered for top individual and team fundraisers.
Online registration opens on February 12 and closes at noon on June 12; day-of registration is available. A printable registration form is also provided for those who prefer not to register online. The registration fee listed is $30.00.
