South Boston Catholic Academy Jingle Bell Run
The event takes place on December 12, 2026 at South Boston Catholic Academy, 866 East Broadway, South Boston, MA 02127. It includes two youth races followed by an open 5 km race along Castle Island and the beaches of Day Boulevard. The 5 km course is described as fast and flat.
Distances:
- 5 km open race along Castle Island and Day Boulevard
- 1/2 mile race for 14 years and under
- 100 meter dash for 9 years and under
Registration fees are tiered for the open race and set for youth races. The open 5 km has an early price of $30, a pre-registration price of $35, and a day-of registration price of $40. Youth registration is $15. Youth who wish to run both the 100 meter dash and the 1/2 mile need only register once.
A long-sleeve race t-shirt is provided to the first 250 registrants and to registrants who meet the event registration deadlines. Race numbers can be picked up on the evening before the event and on race day, with an early pick-up option available at the school.
Parking is available along adjacent streets and the beach area within two to three blocks of the school; resident parking restrictions are not in effect on Saturdays. Awards for the 5 km include 1st through 3rd place overall for females and males. Medals are awarded to all finishers in the youth races.
