About the race
The South Boston Catholic Academy Jingle Bell Run is an annual road race held in South Boston on December 12, 2026. The event program includes youth running events and an open 5K that follows a course along Castle Island and the beaches of Day Boulevard.
Distances:
- 100 m youth dash for children 9 years and under
- 0.5 miles youth race for ages 14 and under (includes a 100 m dash option)
- 5K open race along Castle Island and Day Boulevard
Registration details in the event information include an early registration phase that begins August 16, 2026, an earlybird price that ends November 29, and a pre-registration window that closes December 11 with a higher fee; day-of registration is available at a higher rate.
