Event overview
Walter’s Run is scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025, in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. The event starts and finishes at the Parkway Community YMCA (West Roxbury). It is organized by the Parkway Running Club and donates race proceeds to three local charitable organizations. Race details
The main event is a 5k route that is wheel-measured and USATF sanctioned. The course is described as rolling through West Roxbury. The race uses chip timing and provides a water stop and mile splits. Course security and direction are provided by volunteers and police. Free and easy local parking is available on surrounding streets and municipal lots; some local business lots that are closed on Sundays may also be used.
Post-race amenities include water and limited snacks indoors in the YMCA gym while awards are announced on a rolling basis. There is a free Kids Fun Run that finishes under the arch at the YMCA; in-person registration for the fun run is available on race day and all child participants receive medals and candy canes.
