Wandering Moose, Myra Adventure Park, October 10, 2025
Wandering Moose offers multiple distances on trails in Myra Bellevue Provincial Park. Courses start on the historic KVR at 1250 m and combine flat KVR sections with technical singletrack featuring roots, rocks and creek crossings. The landscape shifts from moss and fern filled forest to more open, bouncy singletrack.
Distances:
- 35 km: ascent 940 m, descent 1420 m.
- 25 km: ascent 510 m, descent 1000 m.
- 12 km: ascent 204 m, descent 672 m.
- 1 km: kids race, about 1 km, entry fee 5 dollars with proceeds to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Typical course notes: the 12 km includes about 2.5 km on the KVR; the 25 km and 35 km begin with about 1.5 km of flat KVR. Trails used include Capitan Nemo, Lost Lake, Bellvue Access, Blancher’s Silver, Doc Savage, Lookout, Crawford, Myra Bailout, Angel Springs and several connectors.
Aid stations act as checkpoints and serve water, Hammer Nutrition products, fruit, chips, gels and other snacks; runners must check in and keep bibs visible. Runners are asked to bring a foldable bowl or cup for aid station food. A shuttle operates from the finish area to the KVR and drop bags are transported back for pickup; parking at the KVR start is limited. Cutoffs on longer distances set maximum allowed hours to reach specific checkpoints. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
