Course Descriptions
The 12 km route begins with a flat section on the KVR before descending Myra Bailout and continuing on Angel Springs. Angel Springs includes technical trail features such as roots, rocks, and creek crossings. The terrain changes between shaded, moss- and fern-filled forest and open single track. The final kilometres include a climb back to the finish.
The 25 km and 35 km routes start with about 1.5 km of flat KVR before entering single track in upper Myra Bellevue Provincial Park, including Capitan Nemo, Lost Lake and Bellevue Access. Both routes use Blancher's Silver; at its bottom the 25 km runners turn left toward Doc Savage and then climb on Lookout and Crawford back to the KVR for a flat KVR section before descending Myra Bailout and Angel Springs to the finish. The 35 km route follows additional upper-trail sections, splits at Blancher's Silver to descend Vapour trail, passes an aid station near Crawford parking lot, and returns to the KVR via trails including Earring, Surf 'n' turf and Crawford. The kids event is untimed and is typically entered by children aged 5 to 10; children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
