About the race
The Wildhorse Traverse is a trail running event located in the Okanagan region of British Columbia. This point to point race covers a distance of 50 km.
The course leads participants through a variety of terrain, including technical single-track trails, historic railways, and remote canyons. The route concludes in the community of Naramata. The event is organized with a focus on environmental sustainability, utilizing practices such as composting and recycling throughout the race operations.
Part of a family owned series, the event emphasizes community involvement and local craftsmanship. Participants may encounter handmade touches such as ceramic or stained glass finisher medals, as well as local goods like apple pies and jams. The organization supports the local trail networks by donating a portion of race entry fees to trail societies for maintenance and advocacy, as well as supporting Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR).
