Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend features a variety of distances held at Walt Disney World in Kissimmee, Florida. Participants can take part in individual races or multi-day challenges. This event serves as a fundraising platform for TECH CORPS to support STEM education, helping to provide technology experiences and professional development for educators and students.
Participants can choose from several race distances and combination challenges:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 39.3 Miles (Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge)
- 48.6 Miles (Dopey Challenge)
Those registering through the charity group agree to meet specific fundraising minimums in addition to the race registration fee. The fundraising goals are structured based on the race distance and must be completed by specific deadlines in August and December. Runners receive access to a personal fundraising page to help reach these targets.
Participants receive event-specific race shirts and medals upon completion. While a full travel package is not mandatory for registration, a group discounted room rate is available for resort reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.
