Event Overview
The 2027 WALT DISNEY WORLD Marathon Weekend is a multi-day running event held at the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort and the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. Participants can join the event by registering through the non-profit organization A Running Passion, which requires both an initial registration fee and a commitment to specific fundraising minimums.
Race Categories
The weekend features several individual distances and multi-race challenges:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Goofy's Race and a Half (39.3 miles)
- Dopey Challenge (48.6 miles)
The Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge includes both the Half Marathon and the full Marathon. The Dopey Challenge consists of completing the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon.
Participant Benefits
Registration through the charity team includes a guaranteed race entry, event-specific race shirts, and finisher medals. Participants also receive a swag bag, access to runner appreciation events, and a personal fundraising page with tools to assist in reaching their goals. Policies and Requirements
Fundraising milestones are established throughout the year, with a requirement to reach 100% of the target 30 days prior to the race. Registration fees and completed fundraising amounts are non-refundable. Participants may request event transfers or deferrals until October 1st, provided specific conditions are met, such as bib availability and the status of the runner's registration.
