Event overview
The LSSC Shamrock Shuffle is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Lake-Sumter State College South Lake Campus in Clermont, Florida (1250 North Hancock Road). The event includes multiple race options:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5K
- 10K
- Virtual Racer
The event benefits the LSSC Foundation, which supports scholarships and education at Lake-Sumter State College. Race participants aged 21 and older have access to a Green Beer Garden.
Course, entries and awards
The course begins on the South Lake campus, follows the South Lake Trail via the Hancock Extension, and finishes back on the Lake-Sumter campus. Registered participants receive a t-shirt; finisher medals are provided to runners who register on or before February 15, 2026. T-shirts and medals are not guaranteed for later registrations. No strollers or pets are allowed on the course.
Runners are timed. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers by gender in each race. In the 5K and 10K, the top three overall male and female finishers receive placement trophies. Age-group placements in the 5K and 10K are awarded for the following groups: 10 & under; 11-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & over.
